Why we are changing the Constitution

  • To comply with the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 and the new requirements for constitutions, officer duties, conflicts of interest, dispute resolution and financial reporting.

  • To modernise and clarify our governance settings – including Board size and structure, staggered terms, and clearer membership provisions.

  • To reflect how ANZEA actually works in practice and strengthen our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, diversity and inclusion, and good governance.
